Oh lookie, i finally remembered to blog!
Well, things have been hectic this last few weeks what with kids off school etc, thankfully, for the sake of my sanity they are back next week!
I have been so busy too, i decided i was going to knit my daughters school cardigan, big mistake! It has been on the needles for weeks & i have managed to complete various smaller things in between like the slouchy beret i recently knit along with a custom order ladies top & more recently i have moved into the "Test Knitting" side of things & have helped a couple of designers with lovely patterns. Current project is more of the same except this time i actually get paid for it woohoo!
I have tidied up my Misi shop a bit, do feel free to browse it & Misi in general as there are so many gorgeous items on there just now!
In the midst of all this chaos, my grandson recently celebrated his 2nd birthday & my husband & I had our 13th wedding anniversary, i shall leave you with a pic of my gorgeous little grandson with his mummy :)

potty training & general twaffle :)
well i have 5 children, my mother was a very pushy type & had my eldest daughter potty trained by the age of 18months (she was my childcare while i worked) Anyways, i decided then with my other children to let them do things at their own pace, this worked fine with the middle 3 but my youngest is showing no signs whatsoever of letting go of the nappies and he will be 4 in October! We are in mega panic mode now as he starts nursery school on 7th Sept & has to be toilet trained!
Been to town this morning to buy him a new toilet seat, we have a magic stool for him to stand on, bought new pants and i've got a couple of little treats stashed away as rewards for him, now all i need is lots & lots of luck!
I've actually had a very good week this week, sold a few items, gotten a couple of custom orders, picked up a few bargains to go away for christmas (yes, i know its only July but like i said, i've got 5 kids to buy for lol)
My 6 & 7yr olds both came home from school at end of term with fantastic school reports so i bought them a little treat, gorgeous handmade necklaces from sprinkles sparkles on Misi, don't they look so happy with them :)
oops!
How long has it been since i blogged! Far too long by looks of things. So, i'll ease you all back in gently lol.
i have been so busy lately with custom orders, with the best seller at present being Timmy the cute little lamb from cbeebies programme Timmy Time (see pic)
I have been having a very good few weeks and to top it all off tonight i was picked as the winner of a blog comp run by the very lovely Caz of Pearls & Whirls and i won the beautiful little cupcake hairslides which i just know my 7yr old daughter is going to love!
I have also set myself up with a fanpage on facebook which can be found here Please do feel free to become a fan. if i have done things correctly, there should be a little button down the side of my blog somewhere!
Well, i shall leave it for there now but i promise not to leave it so long next time :)

Its Friday!
YAY!! means hopefully i will get a bit of a lie in tomorrow! Its all well and good being a bit of a night owl, more crafting time, less disruptions whilst crafting etc, but its a bummer getting up at stupid o'clock to get kids ready for school!
This week has just flown past, kids are really enjoying being back at school, yes, i have 2 children who complain if they haven't got enough homework to do and will spend hours making up their own! On the other hand i have a 16yr old that i have been having an ongoing battle with regarding his GCSE coursework, or in his case, lack of! Add to the normal temper tantrums of a 16yr old, he has Aspergers and it really feels like i am bashing my head off a wall trying to get through to him, teachers aren't succeding either!
Enough of my moaning, this last week i have been concentrating a lot on crocheting granny squares, i haven't yet decided what to do with them yet tho, i want a big blanket for the couch, but i also fancy some cushion covers. I am becoming a bit obsessed now with the little squares, think its time i learnt how to crochet something else lol.
I have also been knitting little prem baby size clothes, after reading a lot on the matter and speaking to a few people with prem babies, there doesn't seem to be a huge range of prem things readily available to buy so i came up with the idea of knitting lots of little mix & match type jumpers, trousers, cardigans etc etc. Of course these aren't just limited to prem babies but would also be perfect for reborn dolls etc. The pic is of a little mint green set i knit, i couldn't get over just how tiny the little bootees are!
Thank you for reading my twaffle for another day

Back to school!
At last! After 2 long weeks the kids are back at school. i really am dreading the 9week summer hols already tho! Now i can get some semblance of normality back and hopefully bedrooms will stay tidy for a little more than 5minutes after i tidy them!
On the crafting front, I'm having a bit of a block at the minute and just can't decide what to do! I have just finished this little tank top for my grandson, knit another fluffy scarf which will make it into my shop at some point, and been crocheting granny squares. Did i tell you how proud i am of myself for actually being able to crochet half decently after half hour of tutorials on line? lol. I really want to knit something, i have so much wool just crying out to be used! I think i shall have another look through some patterns after lunch, really must shift and hang this washing out before the sun disappears

Another day
And still my little un isn't well hence another sleepless night for me, surely it can't last much longer can it? the zombie look really doesn't suit me.
On the crafting front, i had a productive day yesterday and produced 2 x 12in crochet squares and a rather chunky neck warmer for myself for the winter months (i'm just being prepared lol) Plans for the squares where to finish them off with fringing etc and sell as dolls pram blanket but after having sorted through my stash and finding lots of little odd balls i have decided to make some more the same size, all different colours and then join together and make a big cosy blanket to throw over the back of the couch. Can you tell that my favourite winter pass time is snuggling up with a nice warm blanket and either a god book or my knitting lol.
Anyway - latest project is a tank top for my dear grandson. This came about as i just couldn't decide what i wanted to knit so my eldest daughter decided for me lol. And as it won't take long ot do then i will be right back at square 1!
And now - with the summer (whats 1 of those?) rapidly approaching, we will all be digging out the little t shirts and vest tops etc. All that is needed is some lovely summery jewellery to g with them so if you are stuck for ideas pop along to Misi and have a look at Nicky's shop Enchanted Handmade Jewellery
See pics on my blog here for a couple of my favourite items

So sleepy!
Just as i was getting ready to go to bed last night, my youngest decided to be poorly! Now, i just can't sleep when any of the kids are like that so after cleaning him up, lots of cuddles and settling him down to sleep again i put the computer back on and watched tutorials on you tube & taught myself to crochet, ok so it's not anything fancy but its a step for me.
I have finished the custom order striped jumper i was working on, its now all ready to post off to the customer. Now comes the difficult part of trying to decide what to knit next.
Had a lovely parcel arrive this morning, i have started Fathers day shopping and i ordered a fab sock monkey from Hennie Isn't he just gorgeous!

hurrah!
Today i am very proud of myself! i am not in the slightest bit techno minded but after a little bit of advice from a fellow Misi seller who goes by the name of My funny bunny i have managed to add Misi links etc to my blog! Have a look at Monica's shop, some gorgeous little items in there!
Another proud moment came when i had to take a jumper apart and add button bands as the neckband was too tight, i managed to work it out myself without the aid of a pattern! Said jumper is a custom order which is coming along nicely, just got sleeves left to do.

Friday again!
Is it just me or are the weeks flying past!!
here we are, Friday again, Tesco shop done and now having an hours peace and quiet while youngest has a snooze. yep, he was up at daft o'clock this morning. He is 3yrs old, one day soon hopefully he will realise that mummy does not "do" mornings lol
Plans for this afternoon - take 3 kids to soft play, now to me personally, this is pure hell! 90mins of purepanic, watching kids, making sure they aren't getting hurt, or hurting someone else. Why do kids suddenly turn into charging bulls the minute they see a ball pool? Hubby reckons i can just take my knitting with me and sit doing that while they play......HA HA HA!! can't you just tell this man has never been to softplay?
Speaking of knitting, I am on schedule to finish my current custm order this weekend - YAY!! shall post some pics as soon as it is finished, order details were " darkish grey, hooded cardigan with light blue trim". Pattern, shades, buttons etc all left to me, I like that! Still get a bit worried tho just incase its not right, shall have to wait until next week and find out tho
So, Mothers day on Sunday, hope all those mummy's out there have a lovely day and get spoilt rotten! I have my grandson Saturday night so i very much doubt i will get my lie in lol
enough rambling for today, have a good one. Blog ya l8r!! xx

latest offerings
in my Misi shop lately i have listed a few little phone socks and egg cosies, the cosies in preparation for Easter. These are my little easter bunny type ones, there are some others there as well. At the minute i am working on a couple of custom orders and preparing myself for the start of the school uniforms, having decided to knit cardigans and jumpers myself along with some nice warm wooly hats and scarves.
While browsing earlier, i came across a gorgeous little guardian angel which my hubby has very kindly bought me for Mothers day which is of course this sunday 22nd march. This was in Jo's shop Jolicious on Misi. My wishlist on there is growing steadily by the day what with all the gorgeous bits and pieces for sale
